David and Judith Higgs have been running Argyle Lodge almost 16 years and during this time have completely renovated and refurbished the property. We are located close to Southampton Central Railway Station and the National Express coach station giving easy transport links nationwide. Southampton International Airport is a short trip out of town as are the motorway junctions to the M3 and M27.

Not forgetting the booming cruise port of Southampton which is a 5 minute taxi ride away. We are also a very convenient base for guests visiting the surrounding area of New Forest, historic Romsey, Winchester and Salisbury and the beaches of Bournemouth and of course Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight.

For Sports fans we can offer the beautiful Ageas Bowl home of Hampshire Cricket and St Marys Stadium for Premier league football. Also for theatre lovers we are a short stroll to the Mayflower theatre, offering many shows direct from the West End of London. Southampton is also the shopping capital of the South boasts a wide choice of restaurants, bars and nightlife.

  • Nice quiet B&B with really great and clean rooms. The location is app 20 minutes by foot from the city centre and in the city centre you find Old Town which is worth a visit. Good breakfast with a bit limited choises but very well tasting.

  • Was staying over for one night for a friends party. Perfectly clean single room. Shared bathrooms were in good condition, clean and showers were powerful. Nice welcome on arrival and the breakfast was just enough. All in all for £40 there was nothing to complain about.
